What We Did:
We launched Run with Turia at a launch event for media, influencers and high-profile mums, securing a paid sponsorship with the Athlete’s Foot and in-kind support from parenting app, Kindred.
Guests were the first to hear about Turia’s new program, what inspired her to keep running 10 years after she was told she’d never run again and how she juggles parenthood with exercise and her busy career.
With Turia a significant media drawcard, the challenge for PR was curating the right mix of publicity, not the most publicity. In addition to carefully juggling high-profile media exclusives, the event generated additional opportunities and widespread social media buzz due to its high profile guests.
Memorable Moments:
- The guest list of celebrity and influencer Mums was on point and included the likes of Melissa Doyle, Jules Sebastian, Fiona Faulkiner and Lisa Messenger.
- Media were well represented with senior editors and journalists in attendance from Stellar, Body & Soul, Kidspot, the Daily Telegraph, Essential Baby, Are Media, Mamamia, Prevention and the New York Times’ T Magazine.
- A long segment on the Today Show featuring Turia, as well as exclusives with the Daily Telegraph, Body & Soul, Good Weekend and a cover story with Mama Disrupt magazine.
